What is Dual Credit? Students have the opportunity to earn BOTH college credit + high school credit simultaneously. Dual Credit courses are COLLEGE LEVEL courses!
What is Dual Credit? THIS IS A REAL COLLEGE COURSE! § Logging in to new systems- My Viking/Canvas § May be taught by college instructor or HS teacher with college teaching qualifications § This can provide new challenges for the dual credit student § It’s harder than High School § Students must be more responsible § College courses cost $- so do textbooks § FALL semester then SPRING semester § Transferable
Which Dual Credit courses are usually offered? Texas Core Curriculum (Transfer) FALL- HIST 1301 and PSYC 2301 or SPCH 1311 SPRING-HIST 1302 and PSYC 2301 or SPCH 1311 FALL- ENGL 1301 and ECON 2301 SPRING-ENGL 1302 and GOVT 2305 Additional Opportunities, depending on what’s offered at your HS: FALL- BIOL 1406, MATH 1342, PSYC 2301 SPRING-BIOL 1407, MATH 1314, SPCH 1311

Steps to Enrollment Step 1 Apply to the COLLEGE Step 2 Permission High School will check over the form. Permission Form to High School will attach Placement Testing/Other Information. Placement Testing High School will send forms to Grayson College.
