Withdrawing From or Dropping a Class If you have to quit coming to class, you must WITHDRAW from or DROP your class. This must be done by the student through EKU Direct account. A Drop does not appear on your transcript. It is as though you never registered for the course. A Withdraw appears on your transcript as a W. It does not affect your GPA, but can have a negative impact on financial aid. Students must pass 67% of all courses attempted, at all institutions, to get and maintain financial aid. Detailed directions for withdrawing from, or dropping a class, are included in the orientation packet. WARNING: If you do not withdraw or drop the class you will receive an F, this stays on your transcript and makes being admitted as a freshman difficult. Students who withdraw still owe for tuition and textbooks. There is a very brief partial refund early in the semester (dates in Colonel’s Compass). www. registrar. eku. edu/Withdrawing/class LAST DAY TO ADD/DROP = January 19, 2020 LAST DAY TO WITHDRAW = April 5, 2020
