TESTING REQUIREMENTS AND ELIGIBILITY • Must have test scores submitted in person (ACT, SAT) or test scores in all portions of the PERT (Reading, Writing, Math, ) but must be college-ready in Reading and Writing to take any Dual Enrollment course, including performing or visual arts. • Once a student completes 12 college credits, they must pass the MATH PERT to continue with the Dual Enrollment program. • MATH PERT 114 MAT 1033 123 MAC 1105

COURSE SELECTION AND PREREQUISITES • Dual Enrollment courses must meet a high school requirement for graduation • Selection of courses to take must be done by the high school counselor • If done by the student, selection must be approved by high school counselor • All course prerequisites/co-requisites must be followed – there are no exceptions • Courses approved for Dual Enrollment must be 3 credits or more, with the exception of required labs • If a student has AP/AICE/IB scores that meet a prerequisite/corequisite, official AP/AICE/IB transcripts must be submitted to MDC Transcript Processing office for evaluation *Online Courses are only approved during the Summer term
