Also true of real numbers: There is always another real number between any two given real numbers. Method one: Find a common denominator. Double all numbers. Pick the one in between. For example, between 1/3 and 3/8 … the common denominator is 24. So, 8/24 and 9/24 are the same as 16/48 and 18/48. Between these is 17/48. Method two: Known as “The Mc.
