Release Time & Class Rank is impacted by 3 things: Ø your GPA Ø

Release Time & Class Rank is impacted by 3 things: Ø your GPA Ø number of Honors classes taken Ø total # of credits earned since your freshman year so taking Release Time instead of a class may negatively affect your Class Rank We encourage you to take advantage of your last year of FREE education! We cannot predict what honors classes will be 1 st semester or 2 nd semester. You will need to request as many honors classes as possible if you plan to keep your rank up. If Rank is not a high priority and parents agree then release time is an option.

Other Options n What if I want to be a Tutor or TA? –

Other Options n What if I want to be a Tutor or TA? – Do you meet the criteria? – You will not be able to “register” for a TA/Tutor position. – A chart (like this year) will be available to request the change at the beginning of the school year. – If a spot is not available you will need to stay in the class you chose. Choose wisely! n What if I want to take a class online? – You will still need to request the class until registration opens for e. Campus – If you are using another online provider, then be aware there is a BOARD POLICY for taking a core class needed to graduate Everyone who takes a core class online must pass the District’s proficiency test in order to receive core credit
