After ADC and After SWAC Pilot SEMESTER 1 2020 -21 SCHOOL-COLLEGE-WORK INITIATIVE PRELIMINARY RESULTS SCWI/IJECT - DRAFT 1

Observations • Since the start of restrictions due to COVID-19 most Regional Planning Teams

Observations • Since the start of restrictions due to COVID-19 most Regional Planning Teams have been able to continue to deliver After School within a College (SWAC) and After Adult Dual Credits (ADC), in whole or part, to students participating in these two types of dual credit programs • Semester 1, 2020 -21 saw a significantly greater variety of delivery models for these dual credit programs and therefore to After SWAC and After ADC due to restrictions. • Generally speaking, College Advisors who submitted reports, indicated a wider range of issues and barriers faced by these students – and a greater need for the support provided through the Dual Credit program, specifically by the College Advisors • College Advisors also acknowledged that more students were reluctant to apply for post-secondary education for next year. They cited financial reasons, and/or uncertainty regarding college delivery approaches for next year. This is evident in the reduced number of students who have applied during Semester 1, 2020 -21. • Anecdotal responses in addition to the data summarized on the following slides were captured. Highlights of the anecdotal responses can be found in College Advisor Sharing Session, March 15, 2021 (pptx). SCWI/IJECT - DRAFT 2
