Safe Haven: Covenant House Safe Haven ●Is Covenant House Washington’s emergency housing program; ●Serves

Safe Haven: Covenant House Safe Haven ●Is Covenant House Washington’s emergency housing program; ●Serves single youth who are 18 to 24 years old; ●Offers a flexible 90 -day program to help single youth get off the street; and ●Provides eligible youth with a customized plan to get their lives back on track. 10

●Rights of Passage I, III is Covenant House Washington’s long-term transitional housing program; Covenant

●Rights of Passage I, III is Covenant House Washington’s long-term transitional housing program; Covenant House Transitional Housing ●Designed for youth 18 to 24 years of age who are actively engaging in activities to get their lives back on track such as post-secondary education, employment, or GED preparation in the Covenant House Washington’s Career Pathways program. ●During their stay, youth engage in household management courses to increase their skills that are needed for independence including: ●Life Skills; ●Financial Literacy; and ●Food Wellness. 11

OSSE Division of Health & Wellness Programs and Services Comprehensive School-Based Mental Health Expansion

OSSE Division of Health & Wellness Programs and Services Comprehensive School-Based Mental Health Expansion ● This city-wide effort is being led by the Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) and guided by a new Coordinating Council on School Mental Health with a goal of expanding school-based behavioral health services to all DC Public Schools and DC Public Charter Schools that want to participate. Tele-Mental Health Service Provision ● Students who received behavioral health services before the school closure period in school settings are eligible to continue to receive such services via telehealth. Parent Support ● To support parents and the increased demand placed on them, DBH is providing individualized consultation, Wellness Wednesdays, and an on-demand video library that features virtual workshops with parenting tools and strategies. The WARM Line – 1 (888) 7 WE-HELP ● This resource is for District families whose needs exceed those that can be provided by school-based services. 15

OSSE Division of Health & Wellness Nutrition Services The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) ● TEFAP is a federal nutrition program intended to supplement the diets of low-income residents of the District of Columbia by providing them with emergency food assistance at no cost. ● Eligibility: Residents of the District who receive SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, or have income 185% below the federal poverty line. ● Residents must annually complete a “Self-disclosure Form” to determine their eligibility, and must sign each time they receive TEFAP. ● There is no limit on how often clients can access TEFAP. ● To find a TEFAP site, contact the Capital Area Food Bank at (202) 644 -9807. Career Transition Period (CTP) � The student updates his/her resume. �The student applies for employment. 23

Potomac Job Corps Center (PJCC) Safety Procedures To serve youth at a distance and/or safely in place-based services, PJCC has: ●Pivoted to virtual recruitment; ●Established COVID-19 procedures (social distancing and distance learning); ●Implemented a Safety Hotline (Multiple modalities – phone, text, email, download and/or go online); ●Participated in Mayor Town Hall calls; and ●Continued communication with Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). 24
