Recommendations
ASEAN nations individually and ASEAN collectively should clarify and agree on a wide and balanced understanding of lifelong learning and use this to guide and review its implementation throughout the SDG period.
The country reviews prepared for the Ho Chi Minh City Experts Meeting in October 2016 should be revised and finalised in light of these discussions; other ASEAN countries be encouraged to prepare similar studies during 2017.
SEAMEO CELLL should sustain its efforts to advocate and promote broad-based LLL, including the maintenance of a user-friendly library and online portal that supports intermember collaboration and co-learning.
