Together I know we can lay the foundation to a successful start in your child’s educational journey. I am blessed to be a part of that journey as we work together to prepare your child for the future. This is my fifth year teaching 2 nd grade. I live in Millbrook with my husband Mike and our 3 boys Bailey, Talan, and Brock. I enjoy being active and being adventurous with my family.

Expectations In this classroom, I like to keep the kids moving, actively engaged, and cooperating with one another. For this to be successful students should use their best manners, complete all assignments, follow our classroom rules, and always try their best. I have HIGH expectations in my classroom! We have fun, but behavior management is the key to a successful year! It is my hope that each day we will do our best to follow all school and class rules. I do not have a clip chart; students will receive raffle tickets along with GOTCHAS if they are caught being an exemplary student. I will raffle off prizes such as “homework passes” “trampoline passes” etc at the end of the day. If I need to contact you about your child’s behavior, I will first contact you through REMIND 101, if the behavior continues, we will set up a parent meeting. Any behavior issues after that will result in a “STEP”, there are 4 steps before an office referral. My goal is to never get to step 1. I believe in movement, having fun, student output, and collaborative efforts. I have rarely had to implement the step program in my classroom. LET’S HAVE A GREAT YEAR!

Take Home Folders Please check your child’s folder each night. Remove papers from the “keep at home” side and return any that need to be signed. Help your child understand the importance of organization. I try to make a homework packet and send it home on Mondays. I know parents are busy, and students have sports. I send the weekly homework home on Mondays and it is due back on Friday.
