Little League requires a minimum of 6 volunteers per team. If any person is found on the field or dugout during a game or practice who is not cleared, the Manager will be suspended one game. Challenger Division • Division of Little League Baseball for mentally and physically challenged youth who are not able to participate in regular Little League Baseball • Philosophy of the Challenger program is to provide an avenue for a structured athletic activity for all youth in the community. • The idea is for "every run to count, every child to count. “ • The season is typically from late March and finishing up with the Annual Challenger Jamboree over Memorial Day weekend. • We also have a buddy program set up for Major teams to come and be a buddy with each Challenger team member. Assisting with batting, base running, fielding and the biggest skill - ENCOURAGEMENT for our Challenger team. Game Results and Pitch Count. Majors, AAA, AA • Home team scorekeeper gets both managers to sign the score book and the pitch count sheet after the game • Either team manager can post the final score to the website • Home team manager will e-mail, before noon the following day, the pitch counts for each team to: – Pitch Count Coordinator – Your division rep – The visiting team manager • Example: Rangers 8 vs. A’s 1 Rangers Andre, 11 years old, #4, 46 pitches A’s Reiner, 12 years old, #7, 79 pitches Herron, 12 years old, #9, 65 pitches 23

Accessing Team Page • How do I Access My Team Page: – All Managers/Coaches & Team Parents will receive a password & a Team Page Guide/Instructions via email from Kate Duggan , PFLL Information Officer – You will need your email address and password to log in and send any communications or make updates to your team page – To view your team page, go to www. pfllonline. org, then click Teams Tab for drop down menu of teams by division • Manager/Coach Administrative Rights: – You CAN NOT make any changes to your game schedule. For any changes, you will have to contact Troy Treto, PFLL Scheduler – Only Managers/Coaches will be able to create a practice schedule, maintain statistics, post game results, bulletins, upload pictures & documents

Umpires Chuck Brown • There will be an adult umpire supervisor at each Majors, AAA, AA game. They will supervise the game to ensure the proper conduct of managers, coaches and parents to ensure that the youth umpires are always treated fairly • The adult umpire supervisor will also call the game in case of darkness or weather • The youth umpires will handle home plate and the bases, and will make all the umpire calls and handle all the disputes per the normal process 27

Umpires Chuck Brown • Conduct – Umpires will not be abused by coaches – NO EXCEPTIONS. Managers will speak with umpires during and after the game – Umpires are not required to talk to managers between innings • Only time required is when time is called and granted – Report any issues to UIC, Manager Reps and Disciplinary Committee • Please have lineup cards completed prior to plate meeting • Dispute Resolution – Action will be taken quickly • Schedule – Umpire schedule will be on Arbiter web site 28

Rules & Conduct Chuck Brown • Managers responsibility to insure only Little League Approved bats are used • Players must wear a mask when catching warm ups • Coaches can’t warm up pitchers • Game warm-up times on the field – Visitors 30 mins before game, Home team 20 mins before – Plate meeting 5 -10 min before game time • • Only a minute in between innings Only the batter will have a bat in their hand Players with bat in hand need to be wearing a helmet Local Rules – Operations Manual posted on the PFLL web site 29

Rules & Conduct Chuck Brown • Conduct – It is the Managers responsibility to insure the parents and fans conduct themselves in a responsible manner – Report any issues to UIC, Manager Reps and Disciplinary Committee – Only 3 manager/coaches on the field at a time – Parent photographer, fans, or non-players are not allowed on the field – Any coach on the field must be cleared prior to the start of the game and the UIC notified – NO Exceptions! – If a judgment call is challenged, the umpires will meet and discuss (if needed) and a final call is made – Game resumes. – Time limit rule is designed to prevent extremely long games and insure schedule is kept not to manage a game by. • Dispute Resolution – Action will be taken quickly 30

Messurier • • Lead by example for children and parents Always treat players and parents with respect When in doubt, take the high road Only managers may address an umpire and you should be be calm and respectful at all times Escalate any issues to Manager Reps first; then to Disciplinary Committee; then to Board; we will take appropriate action There is no excuse for bad behavior or poor sportsmanship You will impact a child’s life – make it positive We want all players to return in 2018 31
