Composição da Junta l l l O Desenho é Exclusivo e Patenteado. Núcleo de Aço INOX 316 L. Laminado em cada lado por uma camada de Resina de Epóxi reforçado com Fibra de Vidro. 1 ou 2 Anéis Secundários de Vedação. Estes Anéis podem ser de Teflon (com Mola de Aço INOX 304 L) ou de Viton. Cartuchos e Arruelas também em Resina de Epóxi reforçado com Fibra de Vidro.

VCS: Especificações Técnicas Ø Ø Ø Esforço de Compressão para o Revestimento, Composto de Resina Epóxi Reforçado com Fibra de Vidro NEMA Grau G 10, é de 65. 000 psi (G-11 = 50, 000 psi) contra 12, 000 psi do Material do tipo fenólica, normalmente usado. O NEMA Grau G 10 é adequado para uso em Temperaturas até 302º F (150º C), o Grau G-11 até 350º F (177º C). Atende às Especificações ASME B 16. 5, B 16. 47 A&B, API 6 A e outras emitidas pela Indústria de Flanges para Serviços “On & Off-shore”. Adequada para Serviços até Classes ANSI 2500 ou até API 15 K. Atende às Especificações da NACE MR-0 -175. Diâmetros de ½ “ a 72”

APLICAÇÃO DAS JUNTAS EM EMPRESAS PETROLÍFERAS l l Shell North Sea - Pikotek product have been used in Interfaces with several Instrument Diaphgram Blind Flanges of various ratings and sizes 2"-300# 3"-300, 2"-2500#, 3"-2500# RF Flanges. The 2500# interface caused particular concern to Shell as materials were 25% Cr Super Duplex Flange on one side on the other an Instrument Diaphgram Blind Flange consisting of 0. 075 mm hastelloy foil attached with a 25% Chrome Super Duplex modified Blind backing Flange. The Instrument suppliers were concerned the foil would be damaged if a Spiral Wound gasket was used, hence Shell used VCS Pikotek. Shell North Sea - Pikotek PGEs and VCS insulation requirement - HC GAS Des 94 deg C with Teflon Energised Seal Ring – Offshore Platform Shell Fulmar - Valve replacement program on the Fulmar Alpha Export Gas Compressor system. The existing line specification was low temp 3. 1/2 Ni Carbon Steel (ASTM A 333 Gr. 3). Due to availability of material, the replacement valves for this system manufactured from Stainless Steel (ASTM A 182 F 316 etc. ). As a result Shell used Pikotek Sets for the reinstatement, service (H. C. Gas + Condensate) PDO Oman- Harweel- Insulating gaskets for a high pressure 620 bar service with gas with 10% H 2 S in a production environment. In this instance due to the rigorous service conditions Shell commissioned Inconel cores

Here Pikotek is seen as a dual problem solver whilst isolating also reduces crevice corrosion. An added advantage in Malaysia is as a cost saving facility by removing the need to replace flanges Shell Brunei – Special VCS gaskets utilized on a 14” and 3” 1500 check valve that failed to seal on the RTJ. Due to the minimal land width available Shell commissioned Pikotek to manufacture a custom gasket. Pikotek constructed a test rig at Yarmouth Testing in Maine to validate the seals performance prior to manufacture. Chevron USA. VCS used for isolation and corrosion protection both onshore and offshore up to Class 1500 PDO OMAN - CP, The last three projects from PDO have utilized Pikotek gaskets for isolation, dissimilar flanges, and as replacements for RTJ gaskets particularly to protect flanges in sour service.
