MEDIA CENTER POLICES AND PROCEDURE HANDBOOK The implementation of policies and procedures is an effective way to help start a media program because it guides the acceptable uses or all aspects of the media center; it also allows the media specialist to work collaboratively with an advocacy team by following guidelines or updating guidelines that might be important to the school or the media environment.
