DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCT MOVIE: ENDEAVOR

WHAT IS THE PRODUCT The product is a moving image product that is also know as a film or animation and our product will be film and it will be in cinemas first rather then Netflix's or another private broadcasting services, the film will be in cinemas in Britain first because our company is British so it is a lot easier to bring the product to the audience in our country first because of our origin and finally the product will have a mix of genres such as sci-fi and thriller.

PLOT OUT LINE AND CHARACTERS The story begins in February 21 th 2010 with a couple called Hendrick and Christy that lives in Romania and they both are former geographical researchers for the Atlantic research center, one night they had a phone call that from the head of the Atlantic research center Pete Willems which was also a good friend of the couple and he called them because he wanted them to come back to the center because of strange vibrations in a old expedition site that he wanted them to investigate, so the couple talked it over and they decided to accept the offer. It is the day that the couple arrive they are greeted by Pete, the next day the couple are sent to the expedition site with a team of six including them selves and the couple sees what seems to be a huge hole in the ground going in a diagonal direct down, the team and couple go in the tunnel and Christy discovers a strange blue substance splattered on the wall and takes a sample of it however at the same time there was a sudden noise coming deeper down the tunnel that was similar to that of a whale, and so with fear the team and couple return the research center. The team, Hendrick, Christy and Pete as a meeting to discuss what the strange blue substance is and what made that noise down the tunnel, after the meeting Hendrick and Christy went to the research center's lab to test and find out what the blue substance is and after the test they discover that the blue substance is a bundle of microorganisms that does not resemble any known species of microorganisms and the test also suggested that this bundle is part of a bigger being or structure, so with this information they told the team and Pete the results and decide to go back to the expedition site the next morning. It’s the day of the second trip to the expedition site and this time they are fully prepared for the trip down the tunnel, after about half an hour of walking in a straight direction down they see a faint light down the tunnel and when they got to it they entered a ecological marvel of life filled with new exotic plant life, waters filled with strange fish like life forms and fairy like creatures floating through the air, coming into and out of what seems to be a hive of sorts which is similar to bee hives. After about two minutes of exploring this new environment and its inhabitants Hendrick discovers a small cave and carefully walks into it and at the end of the cave he sees molten magma which is extremely hot rock flowing into the ground in the direction of the new environment, at this time Hendrick theorized that the heat of the magma was heading up through the ground then up to the environment and that the heat was there for thousands of years so life could develop with water saturated for the soil, that was a very possible theory to Hendrick as he thought to him self. When Hendrick walked back through the small cave he was greeted by one of the small fairy like creatures that would lead him back to his group, when Hendrick got back to his group there was a strange vibration coming through the ground again however it was much more stronger then normal so fearing for their lives Hendrick, Christy and the team swiftly run back through the hole that they came from and as they ran they sore a strange dark fog coming behind them as they ran, the fog expanded quickly spreading fast but keeping very low to the ground as it traveled, but before the dark fog could reach them the tunnel started to collapse behind the team, Hendrick and Christy so the fog was cut out with its chase. With the tunnel's sudden collapsing every one ran as fast as they can until they finally got to the surface however two of the team's members got crushed under the weight of the soil when they tripped over them selves as they ran, so now safe with four members strong Hendrick thought to him self that he will not give up and he and Christy will find a way to unravel the mysteries of the strange vibrations below the ground, however it will take months maybe even years to do that so now they return back to the research center to try to find a way to get back down there in the next movie.

LOCATION The location for this digital media product's creation will be in Iceland because of its areas of snow and cold weather but the pacific area that I we are talking about is the Eyjafjallajökull glacier which is one of Iceland's smaller glaciers and volcanos which as plenty of snow and rocky landscapes so to make it seem as if it was in the Atlantic and we thought that this would be the perfect place to film in because it matches the description of our plot with the cold weather and snow and in some places it is secluded for peacefully filming.

RESOURCES There will be a certain amount of equipment that we will need to make this product such as filming cameras, soft boxes with external lighting, computers for editing, hypert hermal jackets and clothing, head phones, microphones, directional microphones, boom pole, clip on microphones, lens, camera cranes, battery packs (if needed), filmmaking programs (e. g. premier) and cosmetics (e. g. strange blue substances found in tunnel).

CAST AND CREW There will be a need for a cast and crew for this movie idea to be created and how we can find the cast is by going to movie theaters to find talent for acting, find seasoned actors that have plenty of experiences of even find new younger actors that will work for us for no money but instead they will get plenty of experience in exchange for there work, how we can find crew is by looking up veteran filming producers and crew members such as directors, photograph directors and sound mixers for instants.

COSTS There will be a amount of money needed to create this product which is estimated around £ 260, 000 considering the equipment costs, payment for crew and actors, travel expenses to Iceland, payment for crew and actor's quarters, travel between film site and quarters, licenses for filming and any SGI effects that will be required.

AUDIENCE The main target audience for this product will be eighteen and above because of the elements of thriller and will most likely not be suitable for younger people but it does has elements of sci-fi has well, also the type of people that may like this movie idea would be people that like sci-fi and thriller with a pinch of action.

ALL LEGAL, MORAL AND ETHICAL ISSUES CONSIDERED There will be some legal issues that we will need to address such as permission to film in the area from the local counsel or mayor of the area, making shore to keep contact with the BBFC when processes are complete, making shore that we are not crossing any copyright lines and making shore that our content is suitable for the audience which is 18 or above so it is not too extreme or too offensive and this is what the BBFC is for.

TIMESCALE The time it will take to create this movie idea is approximately nine months to complete considering the filming sessions, propping the equipment, time it will take to travel between quarters and film site, any environmental hazards such as snow storms that could disable our progress for filming, filling in reports for later reviews, production processes, post-production processes and editing.
