At last, Little Red Riding Hood arrives the granny’s home…. Hi granny! Why do you have that big eyes? I have that big eyes SO THAT I can see you better!!

Then, why do you have that big ears? ? I have that big ears SO THAT I can hear you better!!!!

Oh granny, why do you have that big mouth? ? ? I have got that big mouth SO THAT I can eat you better!!!

Görüldüğü gibi “so that” bir bağlaçtır ve iki cümleyi birbirine bağlar. Bu bağlaç amaç anlatır. Bir işi neden yaptığımızı veya yapacağımızı anlatırken kullanılır. Türkçe’ye “-sın diye -ki böylelikle” olarak çevrilir.

IN CASE

in case” bir bağlaçtır ve iki cümleyi birbirine bağlar. Bir şey olma ihtimaline karşın şunu yaptım, şunu yapacağım derken “ihtimaline karşı, olursa diye” anlamlarına gelir

Take your umbrella in case it rains. (Yağmur yağması ihtimaline karşı şemsiyeni al. )

I will take a notebook in case I need to take notes. (Not almaya ihtiyacım olursa diye yanıma bir defter alacağım. )
