Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Mergers and acquisitions are an efficient way for corporations pursuing a growth strategy to obtain external human resources, financial resources and to broaden their operational field. The key principle behind mergers and acquisitions is to create shareholder or stakeholders value that is over and above that of the sum of the two companies involved in the transaction.
