M. A Or/Both 6: Lead sport/physical activity sessions in the community

Assessment Ø On going assessment within class, classes invited down at times- 3 activities

Ø Within SMA at lunch time/after school or local primaries or own club/contact. Ø E. g Dance, basketball, football, badminton, gymnastics, tennis. Ø Run an S 1 Reward competition/event

OBTAINING ‘LIFE’ SKILLS Skills and experiences that can be transferred in to a variety of situations COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT Many sports leaders can get involved in their local community through sports clubs and youth groups. FURTHER TRAINING Many Sports leaders go on to further training and to gain further qualifications A NATIONALLY RECOGNISED QUALIFICATION now SQA approved= A stepping-stone to future employment or further qualifications.

GROUND RULES Always bring your P. E kit!! Excellent behaviour at all times, particularly as we are now senior pupils. As Sports leaders respect to staff, fellow leaders and younger pupils is vital. Carry On and Bad Language will not be tolerated. External tutors, coaches and assessors must see your best work and behaviour. Remember you are representing the school and yourselves!!! HOMEWORK You may have to plan lessons at home and you may also have to occasionally complete some home research/investigations.
