National updates Instrument & Equipment Awards The Foundation has helped over 7, 000 students, schools and teachers improve their access to music through the purchase or upgrade of musical instruments and/or equipment. The Foundation provides grants up to a total of £ 1, 500 towards the purchase of musical instruments and/or equipment for individuals who are in full time education and Schools who require the equipment to improve their music department. Singing Games and Rhymes for All – Workshop with Lucinda Geoghegan 29 th June 2019 10. 30 am -3. 30 pm Meanwood Community Centre The session will consist of Singing Games and Rhymes and how they can be used as a springboard to learning – both holistic development and musical learning. The games will be appropriate for a range of ages and are suitable for all children. The session will be based on the philosophical ideas of the Hungarian composer, Zoltán Kodály who believed that music education was the right of every child and that musical training should begin with singing.
