Project Deliverable: The goal of the project is to design, build, test and deliver to KGCOE, a centrifugal pump system for particle imaging velocimetry (PIV) studies, which can be used both as a teaching tool for undergraduate students as well as a research tool for graduate and faculty researchers.

Results:
Test Results As head rises, the flow decreases, demonstrating basic pump curve relationships. With the addition of a vaned diffuser, the head generated is increased versus flat ring diffusers. Discussion Pump provides 10 x the options (impeller and diffuser) with 65% faster component switch time Head generated is up to 60% greater than previous system benchmarks Flow rate is not up to maximum theoretical value of 22. 3 gpm.
