NOTE TO TEACHERS The content of Immigration Nation and all supporting materials is based

NOTE TO TEACHERS The content of Immigration Nation and all supporting materials is based on existing immigration law in the United States and has been simplified to make it accessible for adolescent learners. These materials do not provide the type of nuanced detail that an individual would need to determine his or her legal status or pathway to residency or citizenship. As you know, immigration and naturalization may be sensitive subjects for some students. For this reason, we designed all materials associated with the Extension Pack to be optional and customizable. We urge you to review all of them to determine 1) which materials you would like to use and 2) how you might adapt them for your classroom, with careful consideration of your students’ diverse backgrounds and needs.
