THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and

THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM Theodore Roosevelt on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN "In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American. . . There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile. . . We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language. . . and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people. “ Theodore Roosevelt 1907

THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM National Security Problems that Effect the Economy • • Illegal drugs continue to flow across the border Illegal immigrants being diseases into our country Terrorist may cross the border without much trouble Does President not realize the terrorist could bring nuclear weapons across the border? • Democrats are worried about losing the election for President, Senators and House Representatives and are letting all illegal immigrants in and stay here and existing Democrats to illegally vote as many time as they can, this is why they are against voter ID’s. Democrats say there are people that can’t get to a place to get a state picture ID, these people can get town to apply for food stamps and her benefits. Are they driving without a drivers license?

THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM • If the border is not secure when 11 million illegal immigrants are given Amnesty will get worse • • • The now legal immigrants want the same pay and benefits as American Citizens Employers fire them Employers recruit new illegal immigrants to do the work The 11 million people just made legal will be on government programs Until we close the border, giving amnesty to those here illegally, the cycle will continue • It will not stop until every uneducated and unskilled worker in the world is here • Or when our economy collapses and living is better in their country than here • Most of these illegal can’t read or write their native language Spanish

THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM The Problems – Tax payers lose • Many pay no income tax • Many pay no payroll tax and no Medicare tax • They are jamming our hospital emergency rooms • Their children are overloading our public schools • Crime increases

THE IMMIGRATION PROBLEM One problem is not necessarily the individuals that come here for a better life, but the number of these people has overwhelmed our system, someone has to pay to support these people and that someone is YOU We now have people crossing the southern border from Islamic countries that use Islamic definition, the religious faith of Muslims, based on the words and religious system founded by the prophet Muhammad and taught by the Koran, the basic principle of which is absolute submission to a unique and personal god. The religious faith of Muslims and Sharia Law is also government many Islamic countries, but is clearly unconstitutional.

GUEST WORKER PROGRAM We have immigration quotas for a reason, the reason is that immigrants are supposed to assimilate into our society and not be a burden on our taxpayers. Take a glass of water and start putting sugar in it while stirring it, there is a point when the water stops absorbing the sugar and it falls to the bottom of the glass. Our country has already absorbed all the immigrants it can and the fact that most of the illegal immigrants can’t read or write in their native language and have no skills makes the problem worse. A comprehensive guest worker program will allow us to keep those illegal immigrants that are contributing to society from those that are just are only consuming our tax dollars or committing crimes and we can offer them plane tickets home and come cash and let them leave voluntarily

GUEST WORKER PROGRAM The guest worker program will be designed to allow employers to identify illegal immigrants, register them in the guest worker program, which gives them and their immediate family temporary legal status, while at the same time allow the American Citizens to take those if they are able to do the work. After 1 year at the same job they will be eligible for a green card and no longer a guest worker. The guest workers should not get a fast path to citizenship, but they are automatically added, to the end of the line for legal immigration from their country of origin to our country to be fair to other citizens of their country of origin,

GUEST WORKER PROGRAM 8. Guest workers may visit their Country of origin when allowed by the employer 9. If a guest worker becomes unemployed they may be eligible for state unemployment insurance program like any other worker, but not eligible for any federal assistance. 10. When the guest workers unemployment insurance runs out and they are still unemployed they and their family must leave the country unless a member of their immediate family is a member of the guest worker program. 11. Each state will decide which, if any state benefits guest worker will be eligible for.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT’S ROLE 1. The power to make changes of any kind to the Guest Worker Program lies in Congress 2. The President’s may use the power of veto, but may not make any changes to the guest worker program of any modifications Congress makes after they are signed into law, this includes by Executive Order or regulations. 3. The role of the Executive branch is to provide the funding for this program and enforce immigration laws as written by Congress, if the Executive branch fails to enforce immigration laws the states my may enforce them and be reimbursed by the federal government for all expenses related to enforcement of those laws.

SUMMARY Unless the border is closed our immigration system will never work and our national security compromised. The Federal Government continues to violate the 10 th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, the same Constitution the people used to create that government and the same Constitution every elected member of that government took an oath of office to Uphold. At the same time they are taking power that the Constitution did not give them, they are ignoring most of their primary duties given by the Constitution that are the reason for it’s existence. The People are represented by their State Legislatures and Article V of the Constitution gives the State Legislatures the power alter or abolish the Government they created as described in the 2 nd paragraph of the Decoration of Independence.
