The internet has become the major facilitator. n WEB - Distributed, large scale, online, rapidly growing, searchable information resource accessible through a browser; searching a billion page encyclopedia This e-revolution is having a growing impact on business, politics, science, environment, education, health, etc. n More and more information is e-ized (digitized). n Used by all aspects of society and the world: business, consumers, scientists, educators, children, etc. The web has radically changed what we expect when we want information. n It will continue to change and evolve! 2
