About the Program for International Medical Graduates �The IMG Program is an advanced standing

About the Program for International Medical Graduates �The IMG Program is an advanced standing program. �Admitted IMG students are exempt from the Fundamentals of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD) of the M. D. , C. M. program; and �enter the program in the Transition to Clinical Practice (TCP) component (April/May of Year-2). �Successful IMG program students continue into the clerkships and graduate with a Mc. Gill M. D. , C. M. degree.

Are you eligible to apply? The IMG Program is open to an applicant who: � Is a recognized resident of Québec; � By application deadline, holds M. D. degree from outside Canada/US, in good standing from an accredited, World Health Organizationrecognized institution (Avicenna Directory for Medicine); � Provides results of the MCCEE from the Medical Council of Canada; � Provides a Medical Student Performance Report or Evaluation ("Dean's Letter") from their medical school; � Provides proof of English proficiency or proof of French proficiency (unless you have completed your MD in French or English); � Meets all other essential requirements listed on our website.

A maximum of three (3) positions will be open per year, with an anticipated average of 1 -2 per year. Applicants will be required to submit a Medical Student Performance Record (MSPR) together with the academic transcript. Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE) Ø Ø Ø USMLE or ECSMG results will not be accepted Language proficiency: Ø Ø Competitive applicants will have MCCEE 1 scores that are at least 50 points higher than the passing grade.
