About LSC üA range of subjects in the areas of : üModern Languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Russian); üLinguistics Courses; üHistorical, Geographical and Social Studies; üICT applied to Human Sciences üOnly one compulsory subject to be taken in Italian (Linguistics Courses – 1 st year)

LSC students will develop… üKnowledge of two languages of international communication; üAbility to interpret the linguistic and sociolinguistic codes in various communicative situations; üComprehension of problems related to economic, social and cultural integration üAn Internationally-oriented attitude

About LSC – Course Catalogue üFIRST YEAR * 1 ECTS = 1 CFU ü Linguistics Courses related to the two languages (36 ECTS) – Two disciplines for each language These subjects involve transversal practical activities, that is, common for ü Linguistics Course (9 ECTS) This discipline is related to Italian linguistics ü History, Economics and Geography Courses (9 ECTS) ü Information Technology I. C. (6 ECTS) courses of the same language.

About LSC – Course Catalogue üSECOND YEAR ü Linguistics of the individual languages (18 ECTS) – one course for each language These subjects involve transversal practical activities, that is, common for ü Supplementary Disciplines (9 ECTS) ü Electives (9 ECTS) – This group includes Internship ü Final Examination (24 ECTS) courses of the same language

Admission In order to be admitted students should: üpossess specific curricular requirements üundergo an interview designed to assess their Personal Academic Background üdemonstrate their knowledge of the English Language (not lower than B 2) Requirements and admission process are different according to the type of Degree held by students (Italian or Foreign)

Admission – Italian Degree * 1 ECTS = 1 CFU Curricular Requirements: ü Bachelor’s Degree (1 st Cycle Degree) with a minimum final mark of 105/110 ü 48 ECTS* in the two modern languages studied previously (24 ECTS per language) ü If English was not part of your First Degree: one of the accepted English Language Certificates, issued in the last 24 months (it is also possible to take the OOPT) ü FCE Grade C, BEC Vantage, IELTS 6. 5 (Listening: min 6. 5), TOEFL 80 (Listening: min 22) or higher Students from an English-speaking country are exempted!

Admission – Foreign Degree Curricular Requirements: üBachelor’s Degree demonstrating a theoretical and practical knowledge of two of the foreign languages taught ü One of the accepted English Language Certificates, issued in the last 24 months, or the OOPT test ü FCE Grade C, BEC Vantage, IELTS 6. 5 (with at least 6. 5 in ‘Listening’), TOEFL 80 (with at least 22 in ‘Listening’) ü FCE Grade A, B, CAE grade A, B, C, CPE grade A, B, C, BEC Higher, higher scores in IELTS and TOEFL Students who are citizens of an English-speaking country and hold a Foreign Degree and students holding a Foreign Degree issued by an English-speaking country institution are exempted!

Admission – Italian and Foreign Degree Assessment of personal academic preparation Personal preparation will be evaluated through an interview Students should submit: ü A Self-Certificate declaration – a signed declaration listing the exams you passed in the previous Degree(s) with the corresponding marks, credits and subject groups, as well as their University Diploma and any other University Record that they want to be evaluated ü If necessary a copy of their English Language Certificate ü If applicable, a long-distance interview request form, which should be adequately motivated

Admission – Italian and Foreign Degree Assessment of the student’s reasons for applying The Interview will be carried out in one of the two foreign languages the applicant intends to study further, provided that it is not English. It will be focused on: ü The assessment of the student’s skills and knowledge with reference to the Degree Course Objectives ü The analysis of student’s motivations
