“Being bound” has to do with various relationships including marriage, business, the church and any intimate relationship.

“Bound” - HETEROZUGEO means to be yoked up differently, to be unequally yoked or mis-mated. See Deut 22: 9 -11; Lev 19: 19

5 Rationales for Separation

1) “Partnership” METOCHE - communion, participation or sharing.

There is no communion between the perfect righteousness of God in you and the unrighteousness of Satan's Cosmic System. 2 Thes 2: 7 -8; 1 John 3: 4

The Word of God is the basis for your communion, having divine viewpoint in life, and your frame of reference to build up your soul, (the Temple of God).

What do we have in agreement with false doctrine, false churches and religion? Psa 115: 4 -8; 1 Cor 12: 2

As the temple of God don't waste what you have been given, by getting involved in relationships that will ultimately be unfruitful in the Plan of God.

Don't get involved in relationships that will pull you down and have a detrimental effect on your soul and spiritual life.

The key is "yoked". It does not exclude contact with the unbeliever or apostate believers.

It demands that such contact should in no way compromise your faith and beliefs, hinder your function of GAP and the building up of your soul.
