Shout ‘Grace’ to Your Mountain!
Zechariah 4: 6, 7 So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, ’ Says the LORD of hosts. ‘Who are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!” ’ ”
The Story • The return of 50, 000 Israelites from 70 years of Babylonian Captivity • Persia defeats Babylon & King Cyrus discovers his destiny (Isaiah 44) • Israelites return to rebuild the Temple • Samaritan’s persecute and stop the restoration • The prophets, Haggai & Zechariah, & scribe, Ezra, encourage Zerubbabel (governor) & Joshua (high priest) and the people to finish the assignment of restoring worship.

Who are you, O great mountain?
And the LORD said to Satan: “The LORD rebukes you, Satan! Indeed, the LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebukes you! Is not this man a firebrand snatched from the fire? ” • Joshua does not prove himself worthy! • The Lord confronts the accusations! • “The battle is the Lord’s!”
