Ghindeni School is located in Dolj County, in the South-West of Oltenia region, Romania.

Dolj County Located in the southwestern part of Romania, Dolj County is crossed from the North to the South by the river Jiu, actually bearing its name, Doljiu means ‘Lower Jiu’. Population in this area is around 700 000 inhabitants living in two cities, five towns and 104 villages.

THE KINDERGARTEN • Children can start kindergarten when they are 3 years old and they can stay until they are 6 years old. Ghindeni kindergarten has around 50 children divided in two classes.

Primary level The school has about 130 pupils, with ages between 6 – 15 years. There are four teachers for the primary level and 12 teachers at the secondary level.

Secondary level • The pupils in secondary level are divided in four grades. • They are taught Mathematics, Romanian Language, History, Geography, Art, Foreign Languages (French, English), Music, Sports, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Introduction to computers, Technology, Latin and Religion.
