CEEPUS The main activity of CEEPUS are university networks operating joint programs ideally leading to Joint Degrees, esp. Joint Doctoral Programs. CEEPUS covers mobility grants for students and teachers in this framework.

Central European Exchange Program for University Studies The main objectives are: • Focus on joint Ph. D programs • Promote cooperation in the framework of the EUSDR

Who can apply? • Students of CEEPUS Universities with two completed semesters who are citizens of a CEEPUS member state or have an „equal status” document • Faculty members (teachers, researchers) of CEEPUS Universities who are willing to teach or supervise 6 hours/work week during their exchange and are citizens of a CEEPUS member state or have an „equal status” document

Military and Security Policy Network The main objectives are: • • • ensure young researchers’ career development conduct joint research on wicked problems of the region share knowledge & examine different perspectives of the national public spheres strengthen & extend cooperation between partner institutions prepare students for academic career and to establish special scientific relations and network in the region acquire new teaching methods and get professional experience

Basic Information • Target group: • Active BA (BSc) or MA (MSc) students preparing their final thesis • Ph. D students • Length of participation: one semester • Partner institutions: • University of Defence Brno • Nicolae Balcescu Land Forces Academy Sibiu

Planned Activities • • • Short term Student mobility (BA/MA/Ph. D) Joint Dissemination workshop Staff mobility Joint Distance Courses (BA/MA/Ph. D) Development of joint Ph. D programs (long term goal)

Project Plan • Member universities and military academies announce their research topics and select 2 -3 senior teachers or researchers as supervisors. • Students of the member universities and military academies apply to the announced topics and undertake to conduct research in the given field, including a one-month mobility programme at the chosen university.

Project Plan • Supervisors select participants from the applicants and instruct the work on-line (home period) and offline (mobility period) • Results of the researches are to be disseminated: • during a one week-long workshop (hosted by one of the partners, participants are present) • through on-line publication • in different scientific journals that partners publish regularly
