I feel that we all need help in overcoming our fears at some point in our lives, adults as well as children. I was terrified at the idea of going back to school at my age!

I have learned that if it makes the children happy, do it! It does

I have learned that if it makes the children happy, do it! It does not matter if you feel foolish. Nothing will brighten a child’s day quicker than seeing their teacher in pajamas!

Additionally, I started the school’s news program, PEP-TV. Working with seventeen 4 th graders to produce our weekly morning news has been challenging, but rewarding. Hopefully, we will receive funding for the production equipment that will allow us to go live!

We live and work in a diverse culture. In order to reach all children, we must be as diverse as they are. Classrooms are not as we remember them, but a true melting pot. It is up to us to make sure we have all necessary ingredients for success!

Every day, give it your all! Each week, we close our news program with the reminder to “work hard and do your best. ” While it seems to be directed towards the students, I include everyone at our school!
