Differentiate the teams in terms of ability, so that there are competitive teams. ● Encourage pupils to use all the skills they have developed during the unit. Home / online task: ● Pupils imagine that they are taking part in a major rugby match or competition such as the Rugby World Cup final against England then write a blog about how they feel before, during and following the game.

Encourage pupils to come up with their own ideas during the lessons. Home / online task: ● Create a rugby specific warm up that we complete in school during lessons. This task can be done individually, in pairs or in groups. ● Give the pupils a framework to follow so that we get an accurate and relevant warm up.

Other ideas? ● **THERE WILL BE ADITIONAL LINKS TO HELP THE PUPILS WITH THE ONLINE TASKS UPLOADED ON THIS PRESENTATION AS WE DEVELOP OUR IDEAS FURTHER** ● Simply creating tasks that will engage the pupils, creating too many boring tasks will reduce their interest in participating in the subject at school. ● Try to get the pupils to take more ownership of their learning at home. ● Tasks must be relevant to what we do in school, and develop pupils' understanding of all the sports outside of school. ● Some of the tasks may try to engage pupils in the different types of work available in the sports industry eg coaches, performance analysts, nutritionists etc.
