wisdom
Why might these people be wise? Do you know who these people are?
The Concise Oxford Dictionary says… Wisdom is experience and knowledge together with the power of applying them critically or practically. prudent discreet wise crafty sensible knowledgeable sage-like common sense alert
People who are wise are often very good at searching for the meaning of things.
Where might we find wise words?
Do not shout. Speak politely keeping your voice low. [31/19]
Reflection What wise words might you like to share? Who do you think might be a wise person?
The Wise Man The wise man built his house upon the rock, And the rain came tumbling down. And the rain came down and the floods came up, The rain came down and the floods came up, And the house on the rock stood firm. The foolish man built his house upon the sand, And the rain came tumbling down. And the rain came down and the floods came up, The rain came down and the floods came up, And the house on the sand fell flat.
Let us pray… These are things that make us wise: - learning how our world works - learning how to get on with other people. Lord, make us wise today, tomorrow And for the rest of our lives. Amen
