Physical Health The condition of your body.
Physical Health A person who is physically healthy: ◦ ◦ Exercises regularly Eats nutritiously Gets regular physical check-ups Avoids the use of tobacco, alcohol, or other illicit drugs
Emotional Health The way you recognize and deal with feelings.
Emotional Health A person who is emotionally healthy: ◦ Keeps a positive attitude ◦ Is sensitive to their own feelings and the feelings of others ◦ Learns to cope with stress ◦ Is realistic about expectations and time ◦ Takes responsibility for their own behavior ◦ Deals with personal issues realistically ◦ Views challenges as opportunities rather than obstacles ◦ Functions independently but knows when to ask for help
Mental Health How you deal with life’s demands. ◦ Stress ◦ School/work ◦ Learning new things

Spiritual Health A spiritually health person: ◦ Is open to different cultures and religions ◦ Gives their time to volunteer or participate in community service activities ◦ Spends time defining personal values and ethics and makes decisions that complement them ◦ Spends time alone in personal reflection ◦ Participates in spiritual activities ◦ Participates in activities that protect the environment ◦ Cares about the welfare of others
Environmental Health The positive perception of the environment one works and lives in.
