• Your child will be bringing home a letter or may have already brought one home listing their group colour and expectations required. • Please ensure your child brings the required resources back to class everyday – once you have read at home put them back in their bag. • Please encourage DAILY reading as building fluency is KEY and the only way to do this is by re-reading and familiarising children with words as it increases their sight vocabulary not needing to FRED each word! • Summer Assessments – regression some children will make rapid progress and be reassessed in two weeks.

Presentation • Presentation of work is highly important. • Positioning letters on lines, gluing in, cutting and positioning numbers in boxes are key learning skills for Y 1. • Try our best in everything we do! • We have a new scheme to help us with our handwriting, letter formation is a huge focus. We are preparing to join by the END of Year 1.

Snack Provision Healthy Lunch • Please send your child to school with a fruit or vegetable snack in a separate snack box from their lunch box. • The children will be asked to eat the snack they come in with! • Please remember we are a nut free school so double check lunch boxes adhere to this.
