PE Kit: • Your PE day will be on a Monday and a Wednesday.

PE Kit: • Your PE day will be on a Monday and a Wednesday. • Hair must be tied up for PE. • Jewellery – all must be removed for PE lessons. • PE kits need to be in school. • We need a letter if your child is unable to participate in PE due to medical reasons.

Health and Food • Please bring in a healthy lunch if sandwiches • Children

Health and Food • Please bring in a healthy lunch if sandwiches • Children may bring in a snack for break time – a list has been issued as to what is allowed. • Children should bring in water to drink in a labelled bottle. • No nuts are allowed in school.

Attendance, Punctuality and Lateness • Children should arrive between 8: 35 am – 8.

Attendance, Punctuality and Lateness • Children should arrive between 8: 35 am – 8. 45 am. • They will start with Early Morning Work which might consolidate previous learning. • You need to call in on the 1 st day of any absence. • Children can gain attendance awards.

Going to the Toilet During Lessons • We encourage the children to use the toilets at the appropriate times of before school and during break and lunchtimes rather than during lessons. • Obviously we would allow children to go to the toilet if they really need to but we try to minimise disruption to learning as much as possible. • If your child has a medical issue please let us know.

Supporting your child • Homework will come out every Wednesday and needs to be

Supporting your child • Homework will come out every Wednesday and needs to be brought into school the following Monday. • Homework consists of: Reading (15 minutes a day), spellings to learn for a test, a maths activity, times tables and a half termly project. • Children all have their own Planners where they need to record their own reading. A lost planner will incur a £ 5 replacement charge. • TT Rockstars – children all have a login now and we would encourage them to play as much as possible at home as well as in school. • Being in Year 3 is a time to begin to encourage independence with our children. This could be getting them to make sure that they have everything they need for the day, looking after their own property and getting them to ‘have a go’ on their own first.
