Timetable Daily Phonics, English and Maths. RE, Art, DT, Science, Geography, History, and Computing

Timetable Daily Phonics, English and Maths. RE, Art, DT, Science, Geography, History, and Computing are taught in our afternoons French and Music are taught every Wednesday by Mrs Quilliam and Mrs Winter. PE (fundamental skills, gymnastics, dance and games) is on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Reading, Phonics and English o Books are changed once a week on a Friday.

Reading, Phonics and English o Books are changed once a week on a Friday. o English is taught daily through our story o Phonics and handwriting are taught in short sessions every day. o Individual reading with Mrs Anderson

Learning expectations • Reading and writing For children to enjoy their reading and writing.

Learning expectations • Reading and writing For children to enjoy their reading and writing. To write independently in full sentences with capital letters, finger spaces and full stops, using their own ideas. • Maths For children to enjoy working with number and be confident mathematicians and problem solvers. To be able to read, write, count and order the numbers to 100. To know their number bonds to 10. To confidently add and subtract numbers to 20. To be able to talk about how they solved or will solve a problem. All end of year expectations for all areas of the Year 1 curriculum are on our Class and Subject pages on our new website.
