Agenda - Welcome back! - Drop off and pick up arrangements - Uniform - Behaviour - Curriculum - Maximising attainment / Parent Partnership - The Curriculum in Year 3
Arrangements at the start / end of the day Please ensure you drop off and collect at the allocated times given. Important to maintain our class bubbles. Children that are being collected by a trusted adult will wait with their teachers until their adult is seen and the teacher will send your child to them when it is safe to do so. If a trusted adult isn’t seen, the children will be escorted to the main office where a parent/carer will be contacted.
Uniform All children are expected to wear clothes in our school uniform colours. The uniform is as follows: Black trousers/skirt White or navy polo shirt/white blouse Jade sweatshirt/cardigan Sensible black shoes Summer: blue and white dress/short black or dark grey school trousers P. E. kit: Yellow polo shirt Black shorts or cycling shorts Black P. E. pumps (indoor) Trainers (outdoor) Black sweatshirt and/or jogging pants for outdoors (optional)
Behaviour Expectations (Rewards/Consequences) Class rewards/consequences - Each pupil has contributed to a class charter. - The outcomes of the class charter will inform how points are given out on Class Dojo. - Each class will continue to collect beads for excellent attitude/manners and are rewarded when milestones are reached. - Each class will follow the ‘It’s good to be green’ behaviour system. - If a children receives a red card they will miss part of their break time and spend this time talking through their behaviour with their class teacher in order to find a solution.
Routines Homework: -New spelling list: given out Monday (test the following Monday) -Reading book/reading record -TT Rockstars: as often as possible please! -Arithmetic: Weekly times tables given out and tested the week after. PE and Forest School: -Indoor PE: Monday (3 W) Tuesday (3 C)

What are we learning about? Key learning points in reading • Read a wide range of books both fiction and non-fiction including classic texts and longer novels. • Draw inferences about characters’ feelings, thoughts and motives from their actions and justify inferences with evidence. • Understand how language, structure and presentation contribute to meaning. Key learning points in writing • Identify the audience and purpose of their writing, selecting appropriate form, using similar writing as a model. • Understand use a range of grammatical structures and punctuation as expected for the end of Year 3 (inverted commas for speech, ? , ! Commas in clauses) • Key learning points in maths • To have a sound knowledge of the 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 and 10 times tables and related facts • Practise arithmetic methods across all four operations • Learn to tell the time in 12 and 24 hour

Maximising attainment / Parent partnership Google Classroom: - As part of our catch-up plans, we will be utilising Google Classroom as a home learning tool from the 25 th September. - All children will be provided with a login and all parents/carers will be invited to receive updates on tasks completed. - There will be a minimum of one English and one Maths task each week.
