2 nd Grade Team Cynthia Olsen Katy Rapposelli Tracey Sayet Sally Scott Combined we have 60 years of teaching experience to share with your child. We do all of our planning as a team.
Meet Mrs. Olsen • I am a mom to four children and grandmother to three • I have taught in Nevada, Arizona, Utah and Missouri. • My husband worked for U. S. F. S • I have been teaching 28 years in grades 1, 2, 3, and 6 th grade. • I have a Masters Degree in Ed. • I love to travel and being outside.

Reading Outcomes • By the end of 2 nd Grade students will be able to: • Read with a Fluency Rate of 87 wpm with 97% accuracy • Progress is monitored through DIBELS Next and teacher assessments • Decode multi-syllabic grade level words (phonics) • Read and comprehend unfamiliar informational texts • Retell the main idea with details (including who what when where why in a meaningful sequence) within all reading genres • Make connections and take part in conversations by linking ideas with others’ ideas to deepen understanding • Build a foundation of knowledge through reading and listening to books in history/social studies, science, and other subjects
