Good Morning Everyone! Welcome to the start of another week! Complete your daily exercise to wake you up. It can be Joe Wicks, Cosmic Yoga or even a run. Miss Jones has been going for a morning run and it makes her feel better! Jess and Lucy have been going on lots of bike rides and Maisie is now riding without stabilisers! Enjoy whatever you choose!

Yesterday, we had a look at singular and plural words. Can you complete the following sentences by adding the correct plural word?

Write the plural word:

MATHS - 31. 03. 2020 LO: I can find 100, 10 and 1 more or less than a number

Yesterday you were adding and subtracting multiples of 100. Today, you are going to continue with mental maths by finding more or less than any given number.

Count the blocks to find the number. Find 10 more.

Answer: 347 + 10 = 357

Start with 648 each time. Put this number in each machine and jot down the answers.

Nursery Rhymes are called nursery rhymes because they include rhyming words. Rhymes are really good to learn - they improve our vocabulary! I know what you’re going to say … You’re too old for Nursery Rhymes! WRONG! You’re never too old for a nursery rhyme… so here a few you may know so you can spot the rhymes!

Okay, so YOUR task! I have attached a poem on the next slide called ‘My Teacher’. 1. Spot the rhyming words (you can highlight them or jot them down!) 2. Where are the rhymes? What do you notice about their position in the poem? (There’s a special name for this!) 3. Using the words listed below, can you come up with five rhyming words for them? 4. My teacher wasn’t half as nice as yours seems to be. His name was Mister Unsworth and he taught us history. And when you didn’t know a date he’d get you by the ear And start to twist while you sat there quite paralysed with fear. He’d twist and twist your ear and twist it more and more. Until at last the ear came off and landed on the floor. Our class was full of one-eared boys. I’m certain there were eight. Who’d had them twisted off because they didn’t know a date. So let us now praise teachers who today are all so fine And yours in particular is totally divine!
