Rules and Expectations:

Rules and Expectations: ● Follow the PAWS Matrix ● We have HIGH expectations for all of our students! We want everyone to have a successful year in 5 th grade! ● We welcome open communication from parents so please let us know when you have any concerns or questions!

Grades: ● We use a 10 point scale (Ex. 90 -100 is an A; 80 -90 is a B; etc) ○ CW - 20% ○ HW - 10% ○ Test / Projects - 40% ○ Quizzes - 30% ● Sign up for Powerschool ● Grades are updated in Powerschool weekly. ● Please check the weekly red folder to see your child’s grades for the week’s work. Please sign the packet of graded work and send it back to school.

If your child is absent…. . ● Please make sure you let us know if your child is going to be out for several days in a row. We will do our best to provide make-up work early so they do not fall behind. ● Make sure you send us a note / email when your child is out so we can let the office know if the absence is Excused or Unexcused.
