Aims of Transition Year 1. Maturity: - Different experiences (Social Placements), opportunities (Ski Trip) and students are encouraged to take on roles of responsibility (Hamper Fund, School Bank). 2. Learning: - Learning styles on the programme include assigned exercises, group work, project work and research supported by access to a variety of resources e. g. Information Technology (E-Portfolio) Programme.

Enterprise and Organizational Skills: - Introduces the student to a variety of skills such as accountability, record keeping, report writing, managerial skills and project development.

Structure of the Year • Work Experience: - Two official weeks sanctioned by the school. - First week 19 th November – 23 rd November 2018 (Provisional date). - Second week 25 th February – 1 st March 2019. - Third week may be organised by sending an application into the school on email. - The third week should be viewed as good opportunity for the student to attain experience in a career they are considering pursuing.
