Jamie's Law – Suicide Prevention Education • Jamie 's Law was named after a young man who killed himself. Since his passing, his sister is bringing awareness to the high risk of suicide among young adults. • In 2013, Suicide was the second leading cause of death among West Virginia residents ages 10 -34. • Suicide is the third leading cause of death among youth in the United States. • You can help prevent these deaths by knowing the risk factors, warning signs, and what to do if you or a friend may need help.
