• New eportfolio – Confirmed that this will go live from August 2020. Its expected that everyone will be changing to the new system as of August 2020. • CSRs during COVID – Request to Trainers in Practice to do CSRs for trainees please, even though not mandatory its helpful for completing ESR.

• Update on how we hope VTS teaching may work going forward from August to comply with social distancing. • SRTT - Change to the way the SRTT documentation is submitted, now done in online format. • Scheme induction – reminder to release trainees from practice on 6 th August to attend this, and details on how it will work. • 24/12 Model – GP training is moving to the new model of a standard training programme, which will be a 12 Month Hospital Post/24 Month GP Practice with effect from August 2021 (Awaiting confirmation of exactly how this will work logistically with the GP/Hospital split, we believe there will be a working group for the scheme to input in to this)

Summer 2020 ARCPS

• All Sheffield Scheme Panels will take place remotely via Zoom Meeting Platform • Trainees are all aware of ARCP dates, and are to be panelled in order of Priority (ST 3 trainees due to CCT first, and any trainees with possible concerns) All priority trainee will be panelled before the end of June 2020. • Process of referral to Central (Deanery) Panel still stands if local Panel are unable to award a satisfactory outcome due to training/progress concerns. • Two new possible ARCP outcomes which scheme panels can award in addition to standard outcomes, due to COVID, there are Outcomes 10. 1 and 10. 2 • Outcome 10. 1 - used when a trainee is not at a critical progression point (ST 1 and ST 2) in their programme and facilitates the trainee to progress to the next stage of their training. Any additional training time necessary to achieve competences/capabilities will be reviewed at the next ARCP. • Outcome 10. 2 - used when a trainee is at a critical progression point in their programme (ST 3). Additional training time is therefore required before the trainee can achieve CCT.

CSA/AKT

• CSA exam to be temporarily replaced with RCA assessment due to COVID-19 Pandemic. • Recorded Consultation Assessment (RCA), which will be offered in place of the CSA during the period of disruption caused by COVID-19. • Trainees who due to CCT prior to 30. 09. 2020 who still need to pass CSA will be the priority for the RCA exam sittings. • AKT a sitting will be available on Wednesday 15 July. This will run in approximately 50 test centres nationwide. • We understand that Trainees who CCT before 31 December 2020 and need the AKT will be the priority for this sitting. • All ST 3 trainees who have not yet passed one of the exams have been asked to complete a Form to state when they CCT and which exam/exams they need to pass. (It might be worth checking with your ES trainees if they have filled out the form if this is applicable to them)

• What help is available for GP Registrars doing the new CSA exam? • Chat re GP training when nearly all Telephone based? • ESR reviews – could we have some clarification re expectation for ES and trainee? And expectation for Panel • ESR Mid Point – is an Educators progress note ok? • ESR when panel opinion been requested before on previous ESR - what to target?

• I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about teaching about the consultation at the moment - consultations are so different, we can't do joint f 2 f surgeries, but consultation skills are more important than ever? • What do we do about trainees currently not working due to shielding? (Can be given none patient facing work - quality improvement stuff etc - can they be expected in long term to continue with this and still progress through ST 3?
