Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modiji had convened first Chintan Shibir at Kevadia, Bharuch • Here it was decided to convene such Chintan Shibirs at the level of Districts and Talukas as well. Vision: • To develop Gujarat state and to put in on the global map with a view to keeping pace with the rapid changes, scientific and technological innovations taking place in the world and adopting new ideas and technology for holistic development of the state. 11

Objectives of the Chintan Shibir: • To mobilise the entire government machinery by way of convening a conference wherein all the Ministers, Secretaries of the departments, Head of the Departments, Collectors, District Development officers, all IAS officers meet at one platform. • The group deliberated on several issues such as projects completed, pending projects, new and innovative projects in the State and remedial future action plan to eliminate obstacles to complete the projects. • The Chintan Shibir became the road map for holistic development of the State. 12
