Information Pack If you haven’t done so already, please return these to school.

School Uniform • Black or grey trousers / shorts / skirt / pinafore • White polo top • Blue jumper or cardigan (with or without school logo) • Blue summer dress • Sensible shoes • Please label everything!

PE Uniform • Black or navy shorts • White t-shirt • Pumps (or trainers for outside) • Hair tied back • No earrings • Please label everything!

Waterproofs and Wellies A waterproof suit (either an all in one or trousers and coat) and a pair of wellies is also part of our school uniform. Any colour and style is absolutely fine. School also provide an extra blue waterproof suit for the children to use at dinner times in case theirs are already wet.

Lockers • Each child will have their own locker with their photograph on. • This will be to store wellies, coats, waterproofs and PE kits.

Healthy School • Children are asked to bring a water bottle to school each day with their name on. • Only still, unflavoured water is permitted. • School will provide cups should the children forget their bottle the odd day.

Reading Records • Each child will have their own Reading Record book. • One reading book per week will be sent home. • Parents are asked to read three times a week with their child and sign the diary each time. • Books will only be changed when the book has been read.

Breakfast Club and Stoppers • Mrs Knight (left) is the manager of Stoppers After School Club and Mrs Tickle (right) is the manager of Breakfast Club. • Breakfast club is open from 7. 45 am and Stoppers is available until 5. 45 pm. • Please indicate on the forms in your pack whether you would be interested in using any of these services from September. Breakfast club is £ 3. 50 per day and Stoppers is £ 8. 10.

Punctuality, Attendance and Absences • The class teacher will collect the children each morning from the line. • Our motto is, “Be on time at five to nine!” • Please inform the office if your child is poorly. • Please do not use Class Dojo to communicate absences or illnesses.

Taster Day • In ‘normal’ circumstances, the children visit school in July for half a day. • Unfortunately this year, this cannot take place.

Free School Meals • ALL children from Reception to Year Two are entitled to ‘Universal Free School Meals’. • Certain families are eligible for ‘Free School Meals. ’ Please click on the following link for more information on this and to apply https: //lancashireself. achieveservice. com/servi ce/Free_school_meals_and_p upil_premium • Children who are eligible for FSM and children under 5 are entitled to milk for free. • Please see the form in your pack regarding this.

• CPOMS (Child Protection Online Monitoring and Safeguarding) is a Nationwide approach to record keeping in schools. • It is used to store records and information regarding children’s safety and well being. • Staff can share vital information on a need to know basis in order to further ensure the safety of all children in our care.

Family Support Worker • Mrs Angela Braithwaite is our Family Support Worker. • She works incredibly hard to ensure our families can access the appropriate facilities to best support themselves. • She works in school two days a week and is available for home visits.

Traffic • We operate a voluntary one way system for dropping off and collecting children from school. • To access school, we ask parents to drive down Pendle Road, follow the left hand bend on to Mendip Road and take the first left onto Hunters Road.
