PRAYER FOR OUR CITY

“…Prince of Peace” Isaiah 7: 14; 9: 2, 6 -7

Isaiah 7: 14 NLT All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).

Isaiah 9: 2 NIV The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned…

Isaiah 9: 6 NIV For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9: 7 NIV Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this.

The DAWN can only be witnessed by those who have endured the DARKNESS of the Night.

Isaiah 9: 6 b VOICE …His name? His name we’ll know in many ways—He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Dear Father everlasting, ever-present never-failing, Master of Wholeness, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9: 7 a VOICE His leadership will bring such prosperity as you’ve never seen before—sustainable peace for all time. This child: God’s promise to David—a throne forever, among us, to restore sound leadership that cannot be perverted or shaken…

Isaiah 9: 7 b VOICE …He will ensure justice without fail and absolute equity. Always. The intense passion of the Eternal, Commander of heavenly armies, will carry this to completion.

2. The POWER of Christmas.

3. The PEACE of Christmas.

Isaiah 9: 6 NLT For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Isaiah 9: 7 NLT His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will make this happen!

Zephaniah 3: 16 NIV On that day they will say to Jerusalem, “Do not fear, O Zion; do not let your hands hang limp. ”

Isaiah 9: 7 b TLB …He will bring true justice and peace to all the nations of the world. This is going to happen because the Lord of heaven’s armies has dedicated himself to do it!
