Choice Program FAQs Once my child is in the program, do they need to apply again for the following year? No. Once your child is in the program, they remain in the program until completion. The only exceptions is if you opt out of the program or your child fails to meet the academic and behavioral requirements. How is it decided who makes the program and who does not? The Choice and Career Options Department holds a lottery after the application deadline. The information processed is the amount of students who applied and the amount of seats available. Results are shared with parents and schools around the first week of April. If accepted, you will be contacted.
