Martin Eichinger nasceu em Michigan, Estados Unidos, em 1949. Estudou desenho e anatomia na “Ferris State University”, fez pós -graduação em escultura na “Michigan State University” e prosseguiu com estudos independentes de escultura clássica na Europa. Eichinger produz esculturas em bronze, cujos temas exploram diferentes aspectos da vida do homem. Suas obras são temas agrupados em série: Duet, Dream, Exotic Women, Goddess e Passage. Cada escultura tem personalidade, uma história para contar, uma piscadela de humor, uma pitada de tragédia ou toda a filosofia se olharmos um pouco mais de perto. Em 1972, Eichinger abriu seu primeiro estúdio em Lansing, Michigan, mudando-se para Portland, Oregon em 1985 e se estabelecendo no distrito histórico de Pearl em 1996.

O artista, e suas esculturas de circo em bronze, foi convidado pelo Prince Rainier de Mônaco para participar do “International Festival du Cirque” em 1993. Biography: Martin Eichinger was born in Michigan, United States, in 1949. He studied drawing and anatomy in “Ferris State University”, did graduate work in sculpture at the “Michigan State University” and pursued independent studies of classical sculpture in Europe. Eichinger produces bronze sculptures whose themes explore different aspects of human life. His works are grouped into themes series: Duet, Dream, Exotic Women, Goddess and Passage. Each sculpture has a personality, a story to tell, a wink of humor, a dash of tragedy or the whole philosophy if we look a little closer. In 1972, Eichinger opened his first studio in Lansing, Michigan. He moved to Portland, Oregon, in 1985 and settled in the historic district of Pearl in 1996. The artist and his circus sculptures in bronze, was invited by Prince Rainier of Monaco to attend the “Festival International du Cirque” in 1993. Eichinger is a member of “National Sculpture Society”, a founding member of the “Pacific Northwest Sculpture Association”, and a founding faculty member of the “Fire and Earth Art Center”, located in Portland, Oregon.
