• Students in K-5 th Grade are placed heterogeneously in homeroom classes through a data driven process. • 2 nd through 5 th Grade math groupings occur. • Placement each year builds off of student ability, student needs, personal characteristics (social/emotional), teacher recommendations, & parental input, to find the best fit and blend students into microcosms of society and prepare them for the 21 st Century and life beyond North Allegheny. • Math placement testing will occur the first 1 -2 days of school.
