Summary Mongolia experienced above normal temperature and normal precipitation in 2016/2017 winter. The winter mean temperature over Mongolia was -16. 7 o. C, which was the above normal (1981 -2010 average), especially western and southern part of Mongolia Furthermore, the winter total precipitation was 7 mm, which was of near normal. The monthly precipitation ratio to normal were 126. 1%, 88. 4%, and 121. 7% for the December, January and February, respectively. Based on statistic models and dynamic model, the seasonal outlook over Mongolia in 2017 summer illustrated. The summer temperature expect above normal, especially northern part of Mongolia. The summer precipitation expect above normal for eastern and some part of southern part of Mongolia.
