FAMILY : 1. Fellowship 2. a) A group of persons of common ancestry b) A people or a group of peoples regarded as deriving from a common stock 3. A group of people living under one roof and usually under one head.

TIES : 1. Something that serves as a connecting link as a moral or legal obligation to someone 2. A bond of kinship or affection 3. To make a bond or connection

NUMBERS 16: 1 1 Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:

Took Men: It means that they took Lead. Upon their own took leadership and conducted their affairs, and these men willingly followed them. The word “Took” also in the Hebrew language means to Raise up, to Rouse, to Stir up and investigate. (In other words, “Get into everybody’s business”).

NUMBERS 16: 2 2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown: Renown: Men that had Reputation, Men that had Fame, Men that had Glory. Note: You need to always watch out for men and women that seek a Reputation, Fame and Glory, not necessarily in that order.

NUMBERS 16: 3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

NOTE: You must have a Revelation to see this or you will fall like so many churches have done. I want you to understand something here. Anytime you perceive by the Spirit of the Lord, that there are individuals trying to influence you away from this Leadership that God has Ordained. . . Mark that person!

The moment Korah made that statement he was a marked man, and everyone that was with him or in agreement with him was marked. (Even though some were not present when the words were spoken).

NUMBERS 16: 4 -7 4 And when Moses heard it, he fell upon his face: 5 And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even tomorrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

6 This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company; 7 And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD tomorrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD

NUMBERS 16: 8 -9 8 And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi: 9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them? Note: What was the problem? Korah and his people or followers did not like the Leadership. But this was Family.

NUMBERS 16: 10 -12 10 And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also? 11 For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him? 12 And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:

Look at what’s taking place, Mercy was extended right there, there was a chance for them to redeem themselves, but they did not want it. The bitterness had already got a hold onto their flesh. . . (But they are Family). Tell me, what’s a person to do? A little wagging of the Tongue will most always get you in Dire Straits.

Dathan and Abiram had no Respect for the Lord or His Leadership. You will find out that when you rebel against the Leadership of the Family, you are Rebelling against the Holy Spirit, and that is the Spirit of the Antichrist. Once Dathan and Abiram crossed that line they put themselves and their households in great danger.

AS THE MUSCIANS COME

NUMBERS 16: 13 -15 13 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us? 14 Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up. 15 And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

“Respect not their offering”…. Why? Deep down inside, even though mercy was there for them, (meaning that they had a chance to plead their case).

It’s the way you approach God was in Moses, God is in Bro. Jerry, God is in Bro. Ubi, God is in Bro. Ellis and Seth Armah, God is in Bro. Don Parnell, God is in Bro. Mita Edwardson and John Stevens, and God is in me! TALKING ABOUT RESPECT !!!
