Research Track • To provide a strong background in Economics and the necessary tools to conduct state-of-the-art analysis in Economics and Finance. Emphasis is placed on the recent developments in academic literature on those issues. • Goals : necessary background to start research related activities (research jobs or ph. D) • Two specific disciplines, i. e. , economics and finance. Students can make an explicit choice between those disciplines, but have to take compulsory courses and one elective course of the other one. • Teaching language - english 6/5/2013 10

Structure • First semester : CORE courses : fundamental courses in economics and finance • Second Semester : elective courses in Economics and Finance • Second semester: preparation of the master thesis: This can be the starting point of a Phd thesis and can be used for applications for FNR Funding. 6/5/2013 11
